Toys

I was first taken to WDW in 1984 when I was pretty tiny; this cuddly Marie was my first ever souvenir as The Aristocats was hands down my favourite Disney animation - it still is!  I'm now going to very carefully clean her up as I'm due to give birth to a baby any day now, and I plan to make my child as excitable about Disney as her mother is.  What's funny is how much the design of Marie has changed over the years, and also the way her well-loved whiskers have become a Salvador Dali moustache over the years!

When I was a kid, I begged my parents to buy me Power Wheels so I could cruise down the street and impress all the other kids with my 3mph chick magnet.  These days, you aren't cool among the well-to-do 6 year old elites unless you are riding this Buzz Lightyear hotness.

Medicom Toys, a Japanese company, produces a number of semi-artsy figures featuring Mickey Mouse and in this one, we couldn't help but notice how huge Mickey's feet are. And you know what they say about big feet, right?  Yea, nothing.

A well loved gift and card store has these lovely Donald Easter bunnies as part of their Easter promotion!  I spied them yesterday.  I think I may need one!

It seems like there's always something coming out of Asia that infringes on Disney in some way, and this time we have not only ripping off Disney but also whoever makes Twister.

While watching a not to be named television show about pawn shops I stumbled across this in a man's Pez dispenser collection.  I won't say how many times I paused the DVR and pushed rewind to try and get this shot.  It's a little blurry, but I think it is appreciated.  I thought the Mickey was neat and there was also a Donald that I couldn't snap a picture of fast enough.  I love it when a Disney reference sneaks up in a non-Disney tv show!

When walking through the same antique mall I found this Mickey floating boat toy.  It was a little faded but I had never seen it before.
